AMISTCO Woven Structured Packing is excellent for applications that require a large number of theoretical stages, lower pressure drop and small overall packed bed heights. (It is the equivalent of the well known BX packing.) The AWSP packing is manufactured from specially woven wire gauze that is pressed into smooth plates, uniformly perforated, corrugated and stacked with corrugations in alternate directions. This construction promotes intimate gas/liquid contact.
AMISTCO AWSP packing is well suited for applications that require high separation efficiency and minimal hold-up. Proven applications include:
1. Pharmaceuticals
2. Fine chemicals
3. Flavors and fragrances
4. Electronic chemicals
The AWSP Structured Packing is available in a wide range of metal and alloy materials. For availability and lead times consult the factory.
AMISTCO Separation Products, Inc. manufactures a full line of tower internals, mist eliminators and other components critical to effective mass transfer and separation. For more details regarding these products, visit our website or consult with an AMISTCO Separations representative.
With AMISTCO ASMP sheet metal structured tower packing you get greater surface area per cubic foot than random packings of equal capacity. A series of perforated vertical corrugated layers make up each AMISTCO ASMP tower packing element. Gas/liquid is spread and distributed radially from layer to layer within the element. Surface texturing on the sheet metal further enhances wettability and mass transfer. Installed in opposing 90°-rotated sections, these ASMP elements promote thorough mixing and even gas/liquid distribution across the radius of the tower. Wiper bands throughout the packing prevent fluid from migrating between the packing and vessel wall.
AMISTCO ASMP sheet metal structured tower packing provides high capacity, wettability and low pressure drop in a number of distillation, absorption and liquid/liquid extraction applications including:
1. Refinery columns (atmospheric and under vacuum)
2. Petrochemical columns
3. Natural gas glycol dehydration
4. Wastewater treatment stripping columns
5. Atmospheric pressure and high pressure columns
The ASMP Structured Packing is available in a wide range of alloys and with various specific surface areas. For availability and lead times consult the factory. |
